As one of the most respected brands in the food industry and the largest flavor company in the world, McCormick has a long history of connecting with and learning from communities. McCormick’s signature charitable giving program, Flavor for Life, aims to teach children, families and individuals how to reduce their salt, fat and sugar intakes while boosting flavor through the use of spices and herbs. The initiative is supported by research from the McCormick Science Institute.
Flavor Uma’s Healthy Little Cooks program has been a national partner program of the McCormick Flavor for Life program since 2017. Flavor for Life promotes improved wellness though nutrition education, cooking classes and supporting solutions for food insecurity. We led community engagement, curriculum design, and partner training to educate children and families on using herbs and spices to reduce their salt, sugar, and fat intake while boosting the flavor of their favorite foods.
